Paula Sumner

MSN, FNP-BC, Masters of Science in Nursing, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, joined Carolina Partners in early 2014. Ms. Sumner earned her MSN from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed the Post-Masters Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Practice Nurse Certificate program. She has previously worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Durham Regional Hospital Behavioral Health Services where she performed limited primary care services to the inpatient population and limited therapeutic interventions for mental health care. Ms. Sumner is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, and the North Carolina Nurse Association. She treats ages 18 and up in our Chapel Hill, NC office where she specializes in medication management for anxiety and depression, therapy for people facing surgery, grief/loss, and spiritual counseling.
