Carolina Partners Recovery Clinic

Carolina Partners has opened a new Recovery Clinic, for those struggling with issues from Substance Abuse and Addiction. Substance Abuse and Addiction is a growing epidemic in the U.S. In 2014, 27 million Americans were reported to be engaged in illicit drug use. 5,000 people under the age of 21 die as a result of underage drinking every year, and prescription drug abuse is a rapidly-growing problem, with more than 15 million people reportedly using prescription painkillers for non-medical reasons in 2015.

Many Americans use one or more of these substances as a form of self-medication, hoping to manage the symptoms of a mental illness. Some symptoms of Substance Abuse can trigger a heightened state of anxiety, depression, or stress, which can exacerbate preexisting cognitive conditions. Similarly, the symptoms of a cognitive disorder can trigger or heighten the impulse to ingest an addictive substance.

We hold that Addiction is absolutely a mental health problem, and should be treated as such. The Carolina Partners Recovery Services ascribes to SAMHSA’s Recovery Support Strategic Initiative, which states that the mental health care industry MUST lead the way towards creating more compassionate, more efficient behavioral care for those suffering from a Substance Abuse Disorder. By creating a safe, supportive environment for its patients, Carolina Partners Recovery Services commits to getting EVERYONE the comprehensive help and compassionate care they need.

Accountability:
Carolina Partners Recovery Services requires all Recovery patients to sign either a Buprenorphine patient contract or our General Controlled Substance patient contract listing how CPMH Recovery Services will support patient accountability and self-driven treatment plan to help monitor their success.

Evidence Based Medicine: Medication alone does not deliver the best outcomes for patient success. Pairing medication with counseling has the best chance for success and we want to deliver that pairing through individual and group counseling services by our substance abuse counselors.

Our offices have Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Counselors and Therapists in Asheville, Cary, Chapel Hill, Concord, Durham, Goldsboro, Hendersonville, Pittsboro, Raleigh, Wake Forest, Wilson and the surrounding areas.
