Frequently Asked Questions

What is Direct Care?

Direct Care is our telehealth program that runs through a free app (eVisit). In this app you can register as a patient and request an appointment! You will receive a call from our telepsych coordinator to set up your appointment. We are currently offering flexible hours for both psychiatry and talk therapy. The appointment is a video call with one of our providers though the app (similar to Facetime or Skype). Any prescriptions will be sent electronically to your pharmacy.

How do I sign up for Direct Care?

  • You can register for our Direct Care program by going to our website: carolinapartners.com -> Telehealth and Teletherapy. Make sure you select the correct service you are looking for; Therapy or Psychiatry.
  • We recommend that you use the following browsers: Google Chrome or Firefox.

Do I need any special equipment for a Direct Care appointment?

You need a few basics: a computer or compatible mobile service (tablet or smartphone), a webcam, and a microphone.  If your computer or mobile device already has an integrated camera and microphone, you shouldn’t need any extra equipment to get started.  *Once you have registered and secured an appointment, we strongly recommend that you do an equipment test as instructed on the eVisit app*

I see a med provider in office. Can I use Direct Care for therapy (and vice versa)?

Of course!

Does my Insurance cover this?

At this time, Carolina Partners in Mental Health Care is not accepting insurance for virtual visits.
