Frequently Asked Questions
What is Direct Care?
Direct Care is our telehealth program that runs through a free app (MEND). In this app you can register as a patient and request an appointment! We are currently offering flexible hours for both psychiatry and talk therapy. The appointment is a video call with one of our providers through the app (similar to Facetime or Skype). Any prescriptions will be sent electronically to your pharmacy.
How do I sign up for Direct Care?
- You can register for our Direct Care program by going to https://portal.mendfamily.com/signup/new-patient/103.
- We recommend that you use the following browsers: Google Chrome or Firefox.
Do I need any special equipment for a Direct Care appointment?
You need a few basics: a computer or compatible mobile service (tablet or smartphone), a webcam, and a microphone. If your computer or mobile device already has an integrated camera and microphone, you shouldn’t need any extra equipment to get started.
I see a med provider in office. Can I use Direct Care for therapy (and vice versa)?
