Why did you choose mental health care as a career path?
“When I was a teenager I read a novel about a young woman’s childhood abuse by her mother which contributed to her development of Bipolar disorder. This interplay of genetics and childhood environmental experiences fascinates me. Because of my deep empathy I chose to be a psychiatrist instead of a neuroscience researcher.”
“Dr Monroe is a mastermind. I’ve been seeing her for years! She has changed my life so much! I feel so great seeing her – can’t say enough.” ~ Harry
“Dr. Monroe has taken care of me for the better part of ten years. She is caring, empathetic, and a seriously brilliant person. I have always felt like she really cares about me and looks out for my best interest (even when I don’t agree with her).” ~ Amanda
“Brilliant, caring, empathetic and kind. What more could you need in a psychiatrist? Oh and she never gives up trying to make you better.” ~ Anonymous
“I have seen Dr. Monroe on and off for 20 years. She is a caring compassionate individual who takes the time out to get to know you. In emergency situations when I have left a message with her office she always calls right back.” ~ Anonymous
“Dr. Monroe is concerned, intelligent, and insightful. I have received care from people who either never took notes or took scant notes. I don’t know how they can gauge a patients progress. Dr. Monroe takes notes through the entire session while never loosing contact with the patient. She has a concerned attitude. Who could ask for more?” ~ Anonymous
