Ms. Karandikar brings over 20 years of nursing experience to the practice, having worked in critical care settings internationally in the United Kingdom and India. She earned her MSN in the Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she graduated with top honors and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International.
She previously practiced at the Geriatric Neuropsychiatry Services, PLLC, and at WakeMed Hospital. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and is a member of the American Nurses Association, the North Carolina Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Trained Nurses Association of India, and the Royal College of Nursing, United Kingdom.
Ms. Karandikar is currently pursuing her Doctorate at Duke University, and is also a preceptor with the Duke University Physician’s Assistant Program since 2014.
Ms. Karandikar treats ages 18 and up at The Neuropsychiatric Clinic, where she specializes in neuropsychiatric evaluations, neuropsychiatric follow-ups, and treatment of patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Tourette’s, Dementia, Autism, Bipolar and mood disorders, Schizophrenia, Major Depressive Disorders, Generalized Anxiety and Panic disorders, PTSD, and Sleep Disorders.
