Why did you choose mental health care as a career path?
“Having had a grandmother who suffered with dementia, a personal friend diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder, and many other friends and family members with depression and anxiety, I’ve been a witness to the effects these disorders can have on patients and their loved ones. It is fascinating and rewarding to study the human mind, and if I can make a difference for patients and their loved ones by doing so, then I will have achieved my purpose as a nurse practitioner.”
“Kelly is a great example of the future of medicine. She listens, and gives thoughtful well researched treatment and advice. Unlike most, her education didn’t stop at med school. She stays up to date with the latest studies & research.” ~ Shane
