Donna M. Wiener earned her PhD in clinical psychology from New School University in New York. She started her career in pharmacy and then transitioned to psychology. She has dedicated 20 years of her life to helping others through her work in the pharmaceutical field and behavioral care. Dr. Wiener is a licensed clinical psychologist; she has worked with couples, children, and families in group therapy sessions. She is trained to conduct psychological assessments for patients suffering with trauma, interpersonal relationships, and depressive and anxiety conditions. She helps patients by using cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal, and family system approaches. Dr. Weiner currently works at the Neuropsychiatric Clinic, where she specializes in psychological testing and treatment for depression, PTSD, and pre-bariatric evaluations.
Why did you choose mental health as a career path?
“I chose first a career in pharmacy, and transitioned to psychology. Both offer a career helping others. Both also offer the opportunity to grow and assist others as the years progress.”
